At Dixie Sunrise Rotary’s year end banquet we were able to show our appreciation to our outgoing president, to honor one of our members and to welcome our incoming president.
Alex Charter our outgoing president started her year with 20 goals and because of her leadership Dixie Sunrise Rotary not only accomplished all of these goals but were awarded the Presidential Citation with Platinum Distinction. Our heartfelt thanks Alex for a job well done.
Alex presented Dave Nelson, Dixie Sunrise Rotary’s Service Chair with the Rotarian of the Year Award for his dedication and selfless service. Dave brought a wide variety of service projects for our Rotary this past year which greatly benefited our community. He encouraged other businesses and nonprofits to volunteer with us and as a result of his vision brought a wider awareness of Rotary to the public and an increase in membership.
Finally we welcomed our incoming President Suzanne Leonelli. Suzanne brings many qualities to the table. She is smart, kind, generous, loves Rotary, loves us and we love her. We are excited for this upcoming year.
