A Message from President Ron

Dear Sunrise Rotary Family,

Happy New Year to each of you!

As we begin this year together, I want to reflect on how fortunate we are as a club. We have been blessed with an influx of new members, and I encourage our longtime members to warmly welcome them into the Sunrise Rotary family. Strong relationships are the foundation of who we are, and every connection we build strengthens our ability to serve.

We are also looking ahead with great excitement to our Evening of Elegance on March 14. This signature event continues to grow thanks to the outstanding leadership of RuthAnn Beardsley, who has gone above and beyond as chair. She has coordinated multiple meetings with committee leaders to ensure steady progress. Thank you to everyone who has already contributed time and energy. We are still seeking items for both the silent and live auctions, so please consider how you—or your networks—might help make the evening a tremendous success.

I would also like to recognize our Service Committee Chairs for their continued efforts in providing meaningful opportunities, including food bank activities and food distribution. These projects truly embody the heart of Rotary. Please share any upcoming service opportunities, especially weekend projects, with our service leaders so we can increase participation. Let’s keep our motto, Service Above Self, in mind as we work toward our goal of 75% member participation in service.

A special thank-you to Egor Shulman for his excellent work on behalf of the Rotary Foundation, including support of Governor Leonelli-Wilhelm’s efforts to establish a legacy fund that will generate future resources for our district. This is a lasting investment in Rotary’s mission, and I encourage each of you to give as generously as you are able.

Finally, let us continue to live both inside and outside of Rotary by the Four-Way Test—and remember to have fun along the way. If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, please feel free to reach out to me directly. I truly love serving as your president and am grateful for all we are accomplishing together.

With gratitude and Rotary pride,
Your Club President 🌅
