A Message from President Darrin

The Rotary theme for 2024-2025 is the “Magic of Rotary”. Magic can be described as making things happen that would usually be impossible. Rotary has created a tremendous amount of Magic in the world. Some of this magic includes developing parks, cleaning up litter, providing essential food and clean water, delivering much-needed education, promoting literacy, and global health projects like eradicating polio from the planet. All of these accomplishments were made possible by the service, and generous donations, provided by individual Rotarians working together towards these common goals to make the world a better place. Together Rotarians have changed the lives of individuals, and improved communities in our backyards, and across the globe. May each one of us contribute to the Magic of Rotary in the coming year, by doing our part to contribute to these worthwhile projects here in our community, and around the world.

and members of our Club welcome you to share in the work of this great group.

Before I get to the program.....
 
We always encourage you to arrive in time to get breakfast, chat a minute with your friends, sit down and be ready to start the meeting prompty at 7:30. 
The next two meetings are going to be very unique and special.  We need to give our speakers the respect of the full allocation of time for their programs.
Please be exceptionally aware of your arrival and readiness to participate in what's coming these next weeks....
 
This week, October 10th
 
 
Chief Judge United States District Court Robert Shelby
will be introducing the newly appointed United States District Judge
Ann Marie Mclff Allen
to our Club.  Judge Allen will be covering Southern Utah (something which makes Judge Shelby's life less travel filled.)
Judge Allen's presence will make a real difference in our community, come and hear her enthusiasm for her new role. 
 
In addition, Judge David Nuffer will be joining us as a special guest.
 
Guests are most welcome! 
Please feel free to bring not only other interested adults, but perhaps students who have an interest in the judicial system. 
 
 
And then, the third leg of the October trifecta:
On October 17th, District Goverrnor, Todd Boyer will be making his official visit!
 
 
 
Service Above self.
 
 
And, also in a separate message, details will be coming your way about our commitment as a Club to the American Cancer Society Southern Utah Golf Fundraiser on October 24th and 25th.
 
And, of course, food bank work later this month.
 
Tuesday, October 22nd will be distribution at the Valley View church location
Wednesday, October 23rd will be bagging and boxing at the Warehouse.

The Ride to nowhere!
Sandi is at it again!
World Polio Day is October 24th and Sandi will be riding 100 miles (on her Pelaton)) to raise awareness and funds for Polio Eradication on World Polio Day
Contributions will be welcome.  Stay tuned for detials.
