On October 28th, we will have an update from one of St. George's most visible projects, Art Around the Corner!
Did you know:
The Art Around the Corner Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the arts, enriching the community, and bringing fine arts to the heart of historic St. George and to our extended gallery sites. The Foundation’s flagship project is the Art Around the Corner Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit, a collection of sculptures from nationally renowned artists. The show changes each spring, with approximately two dozen pieces installed annually.
We will hear from current Board Chair, Rhondalon Crawford and past Board Chair, Marianne Hamilton.
On November 1st, Kristy Pike will be here with an update on the work of The Children's Justice Center.
On November 11th, we will hear from our student representative to RYLA!
Other upcoming meetings:
The monthly Board Meeting will be on Tuesday, November 9th at 5:00 p.m. at Charlotte's office in Ancestor Square. (The Summit Sotheby's St. George office.)
And please add the next social event.....
Our Holiday Party will be held on Thursday, December 9th.
This will be great fun, just wait until you hear the details!

From Sandi!
December 28, 2021 I have reserved 15 volunteer slots to go to Irwindale, California to work on the Rotary Rose Parade Float for 2022.
We are slated to work 4-11pm that day. I have 5 slots remaining to first come first serve and 4 alternate slots in case anyone cancels. I will have more information regarding check in as we get closer to the event. They will have event shirts and dinner for us. It is a warehouse and will be cold so layer clothes under the event shirt. If you are interested in volunteering or have questions, please contact me: Sandi Schwartz 661-706-6663 or email at sandischwartzdg1819@gmail.com.
You will be responsible for transportation and hotel reservations.
Oh no! Christmas really is just around the corner! Please keep in mind that we will be again providing donations to the Millcreek Alternative School. Please keep this project in mind as you are shopping. If you run into a great sale, pick up and item or two!

New opportunities!
Our Club is launching a new way for you and your friends to be of service!
We will be visiting Snow Canyon State Park monthly, on on the second Saturday of the month (this month that will fall on October 13th) to do trail maintenance. Sandi Schwartz will be leading this work project. See her for more details.

The Reading program has launched! If you have just a little time and a love for children, please consider being a part of the reading with 3rd grades project. Please see Alicia, Dennis, or Sandi for more details.
Our Club will again be participating in honoring those veteran's in our community who have passed on by placing flags on the veterans' graves at the Tonaquint Cemetery. Stay tuned for details.
*Note: our community has an endless number of absolutely critical needs and needs help from our citizens. However, as a Rotary Club we cannot be all things to all people. So only those service opportunities approved by the Board will be listed in this bulletin. If you have project you wish our members to support, please submit your request to President Charlotte prior to the Board Meeting each month. Thank you!

As you are aware, our Club sponsored the Rotary Satellite Club of Southern Utah Veterans.
We are happy to see members of their club joining us from time to time and hope perhaps some of you would like to attend a meeting with them.
They meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 5:30 at the Elks Lodge.
