A Message from President Darrin
DARRIN Hallman
member photo

The Rotary theme for 2024-2025 is the “Magic of Rotary”. Magic can be described as making things happen that would usually be impossible. Rotary has created a tremendous amount of Magic in the world. Some of this magic includes developing parks, cleaning up litter, providing essential food and clean water, delivering much-needed education, promoting literacy, and global health projects like eradicating polio from the planet. All of these accomplishments were made possible by the service, and generous donations, provided by individual Rotarians working together towards these common goals to make the world a better place. Together Rotarians have changed the lives of individuals, and improved communities in our backyards, and across the globe. May each one of us contribute to the Magic of Rotary in the coming year, by doing our part to contribute to these worthwhile projects here in our community, and around the world.

Before we move on to Service, a couple of Club Business details....

* President Darrin has reestablished the protocol of presenting potential new members to our Club to the entire membership.
We have an application for membership to our Club from Larry White, a former Rotarian now in our area. He has attended a couple of meetings so some of you may have met him  the Board has approved his membership and we will induct him in the next few weeks unless we hear objections from Club members.

* PICTURES, PICTURES, PICTURES!
As you may have noticed, President Darrin has instituted a weekly slide show to feature all the stuff we do! This is in addition to the bulletin - occasional photos - and Sandi's newsletter which includes weekly photos if available.
We need your help to keep the smiles going!  If you have photos taken in the morning meetings, the service projects, or special events (or even an occasional  blackmail photo of a club member (hehe), please share them with Sandi and Marla.

President Darrin wants to offer us low keyed social opportunities to just have dinner and socialize.  We will be instituting the MONTHLY SOCIAL EVENT on October 8th with an invitation to join other Rotarians for dinner (dutch treat).  We are hoping our location will be Cappelettis but that is not yet confirmed.  However, the date is set so keep it in mind!

Meetings of the Board.

The calendar this year AND the conflicts this Fall have really made a mess of the plan to carefully (and in an organized fashion) plan our board meetings.
Didn't happen....separate emojis from system updates ...

Because of District Conference and the conflict with our morning meeting, the "September" Board meeting will be held on October 1st.

The meetings will be held at 3:00 in the afternoon at Ron Wilhelm's office:
Paramount Tax & Accounting
50 E 100 South
St. George.
