This week is our
Annual Meeting.
We have summaries of the year thus far and elections of (some) of the 2025-26 officers.
As you know Ron Wilhelm will be our President Next Year and
Cathy Hart our President Elect.
We will be voting for the person who will take on:
President Elect Nominee
Secretary
Treasurer.
We have a great selection of members willing to take on broader rolls with the Club.
The nominees for PEN
(President in 2027-28) are:
Desiree Abelhousen
Jil Baird
Rob Christie
Richelle Hallman
The nominees for Treasurer are:
Tim Abelhousen
Holly Gunnell
The Secretary nominees are a little confusing, stay with me here....
Desiree Abelhousen
Richelle Hallman
Will Mann
Crystal Norris
have all agreed to "run" for this office. Obviously Desiree and Richelle are listed for both PEN and secretary. If one of those members is selected for the PEN role, her name will be removed from the list of nominees for Secretary.
I have NO IDEA how we can choose only one from each list as these are ALL awesome options for future leadership!
Please plan to attend and vote. It's important!
December 12th, our meeting will be a presentation on the work of
Encircle, St. George
What happens at Encircle?
Encircle homes offer essential mental health services, resources, and tools for LGBTQ+ youth, young adults, and families.
And, on December 19th, we will celebrate Christmas in a way most fitting for Rotarians, a service project meeting.
Holiday Music will be provided by the Utah Arts Academy
Please come prepared to fill bags (please note size of bags) with gifts for our elderly and disabled shut ins.
Some suggestions:
lotions, shaving cream, razors, Christmas soaps, work search and pubble books, combs, berushes, socks, Christmas towels, note cards, tissue. Anything fun that you can fit into the smaller size bags. Please consider enough items to fill 6 bags.
Service Above self.
The Root for Kids Annual Radiothon will be on Wednesday, December 11th.
from 7am -6pm at the offices off of Toniquant Drive. This all day community helps get donations for diapers, loose change, and supplies to help us serve the children of Southern Utah. Call Michelle Sundberg at Root for Kids if you can volunteer to help or just drop off you donations at the office on December 11th.
