MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Ms. Teri Koenig

• A nickname Teri acquired at a very young age due her talent of multitasking (Walking and talking) was, TERI-Yaking! Although she spend many years perfecting LISTENING she did not gain any new nicknames for that attribute.
• Teri says she collects dust!… and marbles and hand-held fans. J  Her idea of a perfect vacation is the beach, saltwater breezes, a giant umbrella, a murder mystery book and 2 ice cold beers. Preferably on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. To cap it all off she would, of course, need a bit of the Italian night life. She would repeat that until sufficiently exhausted! On her bucket list this year is to remodel her house!
• As a kid Teri wanted to be a writer of nonfiction and a globe traveler when she grew up. One skill she wishes she had is to sing… on key! One of the craziest things she has done up to this point is leave grad school. She became a personal assistant to a singer & his small band. She traveled the US and loved most every minute of it. Teri loves adventure and would do it all again just the same!
• The accomplishment Teri is most proud of is that she learned at long last that “Service Above Self” is her purpose on this earth. And that the rest is just her Ego’s accomplishments! One food she could not live without is CAKE. She wants to have it and eat it too!
• One of Teri’s favorite quotes is from Henry Ford- “If you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right”. Teri says the mind is the most powerful tool we possess, never quit using it. Teri genuinely enjoys connecting with people and listening/learning how they found their way along life’s path to the current moment in time (I think we can all attest to that.).
We love you Teri!
Thank you for being part of our Dixie Sunrise Rotary family!
