A message from Egor:
Dear Senior Rotarians,
Did you know that if you are 73 or older and you are required to take mandatory distributions from your retirement account you can now direct all or a portion of that mandatory distribution to The Rotary Foundation and avoid being taxed on that money? The maximum is around $100,000 and the money cannot come from you – it must be mailed directly from your financial institution to The Rotary Foundation. Attached is a document that explains how this works – most importantly your donation must occur before 12/31/24. The preferred Rotary Foundation fund is Annual Fund-SHARE as our district will get half of that money back 3 years from now in the form of DDF to be used for Global Grants and District Grants. In addition, depending on your current giving balance (you can see it in Rotary.org), this contribution might make you a Major Donor at various levels or fulfill your Paul Harris Society obligation, depending on the donated amount. Thank you very much for your generosity. Please consult your tax adviser to make sure this is something that works for you financially.
The Rotary Foundation is a four star, 100% charity as rated by CharityNavigator.com. Charity Navigator rates about 221,000 charities every year and YOUR foundation, The Rotary Foundation, is number 8 on the list – it is amazing to other people but we, as Rotarians, know the incredible good OUR foundation does locally and internationally.
See Sandi's Newsletter for the necessary form to participate.
ALL Welcome!!
