A Message from President Darrin

The Rotary theme for 2024-2025 is the “Magic of Rotary”. Magic can be described as making things happen that would usually be impossible. Rotary has created a tremendous amount of Magic in the world. Some of this magic includes developing parks, cleaning up litter, providing essential food and clean water, delivering much-needed education, promoting literacy, and global health projects like eradicating polio from the planet. All of these accomplishments were made possible by the service, and generous donations, provided by individual Rotarians working together towards these common goals to make the world a better place. Together Rotarians have changed the lives of individuals, and improved communities in our backyards, and across the globe. May each one of us contribute to the Magic of Rotary in the coming year, by doing our part to contribute to these worthwhile projects here in our community, and around the world.

Our Program This week:
 
we will celebrate Christmas in a way most fitting for Rotarians, a service project meeting. 

 

Holiday Music will be provided by the Utah Arts Academy 
 
Please come prepared to fill bags (please note size of bags) with gifts for our elderly and disabled
shut-ins. 
Some suggestions:
lotions, shaving cream, razors, Christmas soaps, word search and puzzle books, combs, berushes, socks, Christmas towels, note cards (please include stamps), tissue, gloves, socks. Anything fun that you can fit into the smaller size bags.  Please consider enough items to fill 6 bags.

Bell Ringing at Harmon's
 
Our last day for Ringing the Bell for the Salvation Army will be Saturday, December 21 from 10am - 6pm at Harmons,
1189 E 700 South.

Membership Proposal:
Dennis Galloway and 
Corkie Mann would like to return to membership in the St. George Sunrise Rotary Club.  You may recall they were members a while back but left us when they moved out of the area.  They are back here now.
The Board has approved their applications.  We will assume the membership supports these applications unless we hear otherwise from anyone.
