Visit the Children's Musuem

This week will be take our meeting off-site to visit the St. George Children's Museum.  So much fun!  All attendees are asked to bring one new or gently used book for a reader ages 3-7.

Quarterly Road Clean Up Dixie Drive

Meet at Tonoquint Park and divide up into groups and clean both sides of Dixie Downs Drive up to Valley View. Bring gloves and water. Bags are provided. We will go to Bishops for brunch/lunch after.

Snow Canyon Illegal Trail Monthly Maintenance

We have clearance from the Park Ranger to go work on the trails this weekend. There are some wet spots but for the most part the ground is dry enough to be on. Bring gloves and drinking water if needed. Meet on the north end of 100East in Ivins just past the roundabout.

Sant Flight

Have you heard of the work of Angle Flight?  One of the programs of this dedicated group of pilots is to provide a Santa fly in experience to elementary school children.  This year the school selected to participate is Sunset Elementary, a school to which are connected in our reading program.

Snow Canyon Illegal Trail Maintenance

Snow Canyon is a tortoise sanctuary. Many illegal trails pop up and threaten their lives. This project throws rocks on up on the illegal trails to detear their use. Bring water and gloves.

Kayenta Center for the Arts

Today, Kayenta Center for the Arts, CEO, Miranda Wright will be here to bring up updates on what's happening at the Center for the Arts.  It starts with the Festival of the Americas this weekend!  Sounds like a great event.  Ron Smith is offering a Voyager Lecture: James Webb Space Telescope on May 23rd. And, The WARP Trio will be performing it's Elton John Beyond Tribute.  Fun events!

Long time in the planning..Federal Judges Nuffer and Shelby will join us!

This week we are excited to announce that Federal Judge David Nuffer and Federal Judge Robert Shelby will be speaking to the Club about the presence of the Federal Court in Southern Utah.  It has taken years - yes years - to get this program to happen due to conflicts, Covid, etc.  You won't want to miss the comments of these extraordinary gentlemen.

The Changing of the Gavel Social

Join your fellow Club members in the Changing of the Guard from Dave to Mike!  This will be a BBQ dinner at the Washington County Fairgrounds (pavillion) from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16th.  This will be a catered dinner, not a hamburger/hot dog event.  Even though the Fairgrounds are public area, we are a private party so you can  BYOB.  There will be NO COST to Rotarians of all service categories (traditional, Veteran or service).  This is a Club Thank You party and we want eveyone to come.  The cost for spouses and guests will be $40 each. Pleae provide your RSVP so we can plan the food.
