Aspiration Trail Building Project

We have joined forces with the SunRiver Hiking Club to help rebuild and reroute portions of the Aspiration Trail. The trail was originally built by Ann and Kevin Hansen and was completed 4 years ago. Portions of the trail cross SITLA land which has been acquired by a private company to build private homes. To keep the trail in operation some rerouting is necessary. Yesterday, Saturday, January 9th we volunteering to take on a 200 yard section. Within two hours the 37 of us completed our section. We will continue with more sections at a later date. After the trail is complete the city of St George will assume management of the trail. We need to keep as much open land in our community to maintain a balanced sense of community.
