We fed about 1,000 individuals and 575 families within our community. Food donations totaled 2,100 bags.
June was our busiest month to date for this year. We had 75 volunteers/225 volunteer hours for food bagging and the two food drives. We fed about 1,000 individuals and 550 families within our community. Food donations totaled 2,100 bags. Dixie Sunrise rotary is proud to be volunteering with so many giving people. Our continued thanks to the dedicated staff at Utah Food Bank. We want to welcome Jacob Miner their new director and wish Linda Trujillo a happy retirement. A special thanks to the many grocery stores that donate this needed food, without them we would not have the food supplies. One Native American family got out of their car and walked up to each volunteer personally to thank them for the food and our volunteer time. This act of kindness from this family makes this service project meaningful and humbling.
