On Saturday morning, June 25th, a small group of volunteers from the Rotary Club of Dixie Sunrise and the St. George Veterans Rotary Club assisted Don Page of Tru Touch Home Repair with building an awning at P.A.W.S. animal shelter.
Dogs waiting to find their furever homes at P.A.W.S. can get outside through doggy doors at the end of their indoor kennels. Before June 25th, the pens outside their doors were open to the elements, though shielded from the wind by a wall. Rotarians joined forces with the general contractor to put a roof over the pooches' heads so they can "do their business" without having to be roasting in the sun or shivering in the rain.
